N'Golo Kante has rejected the offer of an improved contract from Leicester City and is set to join Chelsea after 'Blues' has activated the purchase clause in his contract.
Premier League champion has yet to finalize terms with Chelsea, but the latter unofficially reached an agreement with his agent and the midfielder had a medical test in west London.
Kante will cost Chelsea a price of 30 million pounds, making it one of the most expensive purchases in club history behind the record of 50 million pounds for the purchase of Fernando Torres.
According to RMC Sport, a five-year contract is on the table and if the deal goes as expected, Kante is likely to make his debut against Liverpool in Champions Cup International on July 27.
Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri hopes to hold Kanten, but clauses in the contract of purchase Frenchman has put his future in his own hands.
