Ryan Giggs after retirement joined emissions of Paul Scholes, Ronaldinho and many other stars in the leadership team in his debut in the Indian Premier Futsal football or little league of India.
Welshman ended a 29-year link with Manchester United earlier in June and has now joined his fellow former team, Scholes in India, for futsal competition.
He is joined by Hernan Crespo and legend Futsalit, Falcao, and heads of Mumbai 5 edition of the inaugural tournament. Scholes leads Bengaluru 5, while Ronaldinho leads Goa 5.
Giggs faced Chennai Falcao, with Ronaldinho won Kolkatan of Crespo, in the opening round of fixtures that will run on almost every day until July 24 final, while Scholes will be in action on Saturday.
